Are there toilets available?

No toilets available on site! Please go to the toilet before arriving. Especially if you have booked a NIGHT GAME.  

There are public toilets located on the beach, however please be advised they are public toilets and are not always granted to be open (i.e. available for use). The toilets are about 1km from Evolva Games rendezvous point.

Are the games safe?

Evolva Games are safe, and we notify you before each game of all precautions and potential dangers and how to follow protocol to ensure your safety. 

Nevertheless, always proceed into the games being responsible and alert. 

Is there an age restriction?

Yes, all persons of the age of 8 and older can enter and play the games, with the exception of games that have a strict and appropriate age restriction of +18 that will be clearly labelled on the game.

Individuals aged 15 or younger need to be accompanied by either their parent(s), relative (aged 18 or older), legal guardian, or friend(s) (aged 18 or older). We have the right to verify your age by requesting an ID check.

WHAT IF MY TEAM AND I CANNOT COMPLETE A PUZZLE or CHALLENGE?

Retrace your steps to your previous clue. Every person is different and will succeed in one puzzle and take more time in the next. What makes you good at Evolva Games are the strategies you employ and thinking habits you adopt. If significant time has passed without progression, the Game Master will assist you to get on the right track.

In elite difficulty games however, you are on your own. No help is permitted from the Game Master.

Rules & Protocol

RULES OF GAME?
  1. Respect the Game Master and each member of your team.
  2. No stealing, cheating or purposely sabotaging the game.
  3. No inappropriate or abusive behaviour.
  4. No smoking, drinking (i.e. any alcoholic substances) or intoxicating substances are allowed during the game.
  5. No action involving deliberate destruction of or damage to public or private property including any items belonging to Evolva Games, or anything related to it.

If the rules listed above are violated, the Game Master present has the right to end the game immediately. 

ARRIVAL time?

Arrive 15 minutes before the game starts. This allows all players to arrive and go through the game briefing. 

If you will be late for any reason, PLEASE call us (+27 73 166 3321) to inform the Game Master that you will be late and by how much time. 

What to BRING AND wear?
  1. Bottle of water.
  2. Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or sweaty in.
  3. Good pair of closed shoes that you are comfortable walking in, and don’t mind getting dirty.
  4. For the team games, a spare set of clothes and shoes, just in case you feel like changing afterwards or perhaps a towel for the car seat for your return journey.
WHAT AM I NOT ALLOWED DURING THE GAME?
  1. Jewellery (allowed, but not recommended). 
  2. Any form of bags are not permitted for security purposes. 
  3. Any valuables that may get lost or damaged. 
  4. Any weapons, sharp objects and toxic or dangerous substances.  
Can I Ask for HELP DURING THE GAME?

Yes... and no.

If you are terribly struggling during the game and not progressing. The Game Master will through in hints at their discretion. 

No help is permitted for adventure quest games that are elite difficulty. 

With most things in life, second chances, clues or hints are not available. You have to make do with what you got, what you know, collaborate with the people around you and apply what you have learnt along the way. This is the spirit of Evolva Games, a world where you have nothing but your wits, willingness and friends by your side to succeed.  

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DAMAGE OR BREAK ONE OR MORE OF THE ITEMS IN THE GAME?

Depending on the item (whether it is fixable or not) and its value, you will pay for the damage(s)/ breakage(s) and or its replacement. We will send an invoice to you for the amount to paid and a reference to verify and justify the price(s) and item(s) quoted.

If you refuse to pay for the damage(s)/ breakage(s), we have the right to blacklist you from our games and networks.  

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY TEAM MEMBER OR I IS IN AN ACCIDENT, INJURED OR FEELING ILL DURING A GAME?

The game will stop immediately and as a team decided on the next course of action. If the game does stop, we will reschedule your game for a different date and time.

Payment, REFUND & DEPOSIT FEE

HOW to pay?

You can pay online or on the day of your game before your game begins. We accept CREDIT cards and/or DEBIT cards on our YOCO point-of-sale device. NO CASH IS ACCEPTED. 

REFUNDs

We do not process refunds. 

If in the case of an incident, for example you or a member of your group get severely injured during a game, and the Game Master stops the game; or you are not able to make it on that day for whatever reason. We will organise another date for you and/or team to play again. 

Deposit fee

One day prior to your game a non-refundable R500.00 deposit fee is payable to secure your booking. Note, this fee is inclusive to the total price and pay the remaining balance on the day of the game. 

CANCELLATION

Cancelling a game will grant you a refund with the exception of the non-refundable deposit fee payed prior to your game.
